Why Older Adults in Colorado's South Metro Are Still Mountain Biking and Paragliding
Hey, it's Kevin Lundy with The HomeBridge Group Brokered by eXp Realty, and let me tell you something that might surprise you.
Older adults here in Colorado are out there mountain biking, paragliding, skateboarding, you name it, and they're not just dabbling. They're going for it. And honestly, good for them.
The research is pretty clear. Staying physically active, especially doing something that gets your heart rate up and keeps your mind engaged, is genuinely good for you at any age. It's not reckless. It's smart.
Right here in the south metro you've got access to some incredible spots. Chatfield State Park has trails that are beginner friendly but still give you that real outdoor feel. You want something with more challenge, the Highline Canal Trail system is right there. And if paragliding is calling your name, the foothills west of Denver have some of the best flying conditions in the country.
There's also the Colorado Senior Cycling Association putting on group rides throughout the year if you want community built right in.
Here's my take. The golden years don't have to mean slowing down. It's really about making clear, practical choices that keep you doing what you love, on your terms.
If you've got real estate questions that go along with life at this stage, I'm here. Let's have a conversation.
