Still waiting on this so-called El Niño to actually show up

We have been hearing about this El Niño cycle for months now, some versions of it described as a super El Niño, and I keep looking out the window wondering when exactly it plans to arrive. Denver has had some moments this season, sure, but nothing that makes me say, okay, there it is. Maybe I expected more drama. Maybe the buildup in the forecast conversations just set an expectation that the actual weather has not come close to meeting. That is kind of a strange feeling, waiting for something that scientists are pretty confident is already technically happening, while day to day it just feels like, well, regular weather with a fancier name attached to it. I am genuinely curious whether other people in the Denver area feel the same way, or if you have actually noticed something this season that made you think the pattern really has shifted.
